COROMANDEL CATHOLIC SCHOOL.
Aw examination of the Catholic school scholars was held in Coromandel on Thursday last, the 12th inst., under the superintendence of Father Mahoney and the Catholic school commictee. Appended are the subjects on which the examination was held witn the names of those who received prizes. The examination reflected great credit on the teacher, Miss Grey, for the very efticieut manner in which ehe has done her duty towards the pupils :—First Class: Miss Lynch, prize for improvement in mnsic. attendance, and willingness to oblige; Miss iiarry, general improvement, neatness, and attendance; Miss Kate Lynch, for general improvement and attendance; Miss Btarua;han, for reading and Boliteriesa, prize for good conduct drawu by Miss Straughan—Second Class: Miss Vanderspeck, prize for general improvement; Miss Mulqueney, for catechism ana arthmetic; Miss Brodie, for general improvement and good conduct; Miss J. Barry, for perseverance, Miss Kegan, for perseverance. Third Class: Miss Warner, for writing, reading, arithmetic, and catechism; Mias E. Warner, catechism, reading ; Master G. Barry, arithmetic ; Miss M. Vaaderspeck, improvement in reading and Biieiling; Miss L.
