DUNEDIN, last night. THE verdict in the Taupo inquiry blames the master for not taking precautions to ensure the vessel being kept a safe distance from land, particularly as 'he altered the course ; and the diief officer for allowing the vessel to get too near the laud. The verdict suspends the certificates of Captain Andrew and the chief officerfor six months, and reprimands the second officer for neglecting to call the captain. The costs are •P.'-^tgSSSIOAIM LOBT. On dit. that the certificates of the captain of the Taupo and his chief officer have been lost in the conveyance of the papers from the Court-house yesterday afternoon.
