' A sheet of flames at';:-, once burst out, but luckily a large tank-oi.-water was handy, and in a few minutes.... Mr Giles got the fire under. The damage m done was inconsiderable. About £5 "vn"^ put all right again. The building is. m. m sured in the South British Company for £iw.- : . The only way that the fire can beia&cowaxea - for is that before the Shorts went 'out taey j?;G put-the cinders of the fire ihakerosene-tm. This was done for safety, but it 11 conjee-^., tured that the soldering of the gave way, and the cinders being set loose, ig:.nited the dry boards.
