MR. ALFRED BUCKLAND'S WEEKLY REPORT.
At the Remuera, saleyards, on thur3day, dairy cattle were fairly inquired for at late values. Grown well-bred heifers in demand at high values; other store cattle dull of sale. The severs weather will account for the indisposition to buy. Fat cattle, generally of choice quality, v,ere at lower values, and many withdrawn. Shrep were plentiful. Store sheep in low condition unsaleable. Fat sheep in good demand, but at lower prices than ruled last week. Nopizs yarded. Fat cattle ranged from 27s to, 3os the iOOib?.; fat s_eep from 3d to 4d the lb., averaging 3Jd. - '~,,,_,.-, , . The pale of hides and skins at the Haymarket 3teadLlv increases.'a larger average^ being sold each month. On Friday, August 9, hides.were in muih larger number than usual. Prices given were: For best heavy, 3fd to 3l_d ; light liides. 2-Jd to BJd- the- lb. Skins were also well represented, and brought from 2s Id to 4s 9d each, Tallow, £30 to £31 per ton. tfodder was in full supply, and at first slightly lower in value, but raided to old prices as the sale proceed. Hoi se, stock, suitable for farm work, were in request, and all brought forward solo at satisfactory prices, varying from £22 to £27; strong riding horses, £10 to £15. "
