The p.s. Te Aroha left last evening for the Thames, her owners having decided to place her on the river trade. 1 he p.s. Hauraki left the Manuuau to-day for Waitara with a cargo of cattle. The s.s. Pretty Jane arrived last evening from Napier, bringing the following passengers— Messrs Owen, Baker, Jones, Hart, Brown, Lucey, Jennings, and McNeil. , «. «, Ths General Government s.s. HLnemoa on arrival at the Manukau with Sir George Grey i to proceed to the Bluff to meet Sir John Cooae.s The schooner Vixen, having loaded with timber at Manukau Heads, sailed yesterday for Tr.'e s^s. Hawea, which left, for the South last evening, took the following passengers, in addition to those whose names appeared m our ye*=ferday's i3sue. Fury, Keegan, Blott, Crouch (2), Wilkinson, Williams, and Constable Ryan. The barque Cabarfeidh U loading at Oamaru with grain for this port. -f. The .jchooner Colonist is on her way from Timarn to this port with a cargo of oats. A telegram from Wellington states that the departure of the mail steamer City of Sydney from Sydney had been postponed until this morning.
