LONDON, March 1. The brigade ot Guards has been placed on a war footing.
The Channel Squadron is at Malta.
Sir Stafford Northcote, in reply to agnes tion in the House of Commons, said the Government was not in possession of information regarding the peace conditions between Russia and Turkey, but, if they were found' injurious] to British interests, the Government was fully prepared to vindicate Great Britain's right?.
