[1876] Twinkle, twinkle, Evening Star, Jolly Avell I hope you are. Fellahs say " Hold on your way. For victory, Star, Avill croAvn the day. Bshold! the light of other days. When you shone forth in splendid rays. Power and light must not go out, The DeAdl is roaming round about. Have courage to the bitter end, Auckland's rights you must defend. Britons here Avill not be slaves, Or pliant tools to scheming knaA'es. [1877] Glorious neAvs ! the Avorst is past; A "clearing out" has come at last ; Right not might "from day to day, With rounds of cheers for Patriot Grey!!
