Mehcmct Ali has telegraphed to Constantinople that Eyoub Pasha has driven the Twelfth Russian army corps across the River Lona, with a loss of 3000 men. Madame TJiiers has claimed the right to arrange her deceased husbunid's funeral cortege. She desires the presence at the members of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, but repudiates the authority of the Government, except in paying military honors.
