Tiest dairy cows at their profit brought from £9 to £1% • . those forward in calf from £7 and upwards. The store cattle penned were principally three-r<i»r-olds and grown cattle ; there was steady compelition for them throughout the sale; two-year-oX s brought from £3 6s to £$ 17s 6d ; three-year-olds heifers, £4 to £4 10a ; three-year-old steers, £5 10 to £7 ; cows, mixed ages £3 17s 6d to £5 : 300 heart sold. Of fat cattle, 210 head were sold to the trade: a lar?o number of those placed in the fat pens were of indifferent quality, and brucht by the crraziers. T.ast week's prices, from 27s to 30s the 1001b .was fully sustained. Averages for cattle obtained were : 20 head, John Short, £6 6s; 69 lead, John Kunciman, £& 15s 6d : 11 head. E. Eoon £7 Ps 6d ; 35 head, Westney Brothers, £8 Is 6d; 43 head. J. H. Snott, £G 103 Store sheep were in moderate numbers and dull of saR Aged long "woolled ewes brought Cs 6d ; ewe lamb». 83 : wetherlambs, 7s 6d each. Fat sheep in less than average numbers, and with a slight improvement in value; 150 three-fourth bred long-woolled wethers, 16s each; Jambs, 9a to 11s each.
