Consol vxion & ace. — Gallery's 1 ; Belle of the Isles, 2; Perfume, 3." The want of punctuality with which: the races were run was the chief fault to be found with the arrangements. Captain Fraser, Major Walmsley, and Messrs J. B. Hay. W. Walters. W. J. Marks, Martelli, J. Whyte officiated effectively as stewards ; Captain Fraser also acted as judge ; and Captain Handley as clerk of the scales and starter. Mr E. P.' Donnelly was'clerk of the course. These officers carried out their various duties with rigid impartiality and success. Mr Percival, the secretary, will no doubt feel satisfied with the approval all his actions met with.
