The North Shore Raw ing Club hare come out well with their sj ilendid programme of sports for Boxing :Da y, and there is little doubt that they will. v jceive a large share of the public patrona^ ;o on the holiday. The money given away i n prizes for the competitions is Jarge, and t! la competitions are bound to be close and int lei -eating. The principal events are the Dec >v nport Cup a three-fold event, of which the winner will be the hero of the <? Ijiy. Who it will be, is shrouded in dou' bfc, thanks to the success of the handicapping ;, and the issue will be therefore invested with double interest. Besides this there is ithe Rowing Club's Capj which will be co attested by members of Rowing Clubs onl. f; and wo can well imagine that many sisters &r A & fair friends of the competitors w ill be present to see their brothers and sweetht sr.rts sh'jw their prowess in manly sports. Hi wdle races, boys' races, etc., will complete fci.e programme. The North Shore Ferry 'Company have made capital arrangement a f or conveying visitors from town during t * c day, and there will be plenty of return b oa t s a t n jght. The new ferry boat Tainm - ,jh be used on this occasion.
