B4KLOWS CIECUS.
This famous Circus, which has obtained much favor during its brief stay in this city, cloned its canvas wings last evening up'n not less than .five hundred juveniles and children of larger growth. The animals, known to be well trained and extremely sagacious, seemed to play with more vigour last evening, as though they had a dim consciousness of a parting with their friends. The dogs even looked round upon the audience as they s»t upon their hind quarters in the charmed circle and said " Bow, wcw, wow," which Bird interpeted as " Good-bye friends." The monkeys danced round and round and codded to tbe company while cracking their barcelonas. '' Butterfly" and his leader were as merry as ever. The clown was overflowing with wit, which bubbled from his mouth like the bubbles on tjie water in a shower The steeplechase was run. and when the interest was over, and the O'Donnell band played "We Part to Meet
gain," there was an evident feeling of sadness among the girts and hoy*. The Circu3 will appear at Onehunga this evening. SIU HENRY HA.VELOCK LODGE. Airec, the wonderful and agile, and his gifted and amusing co-workers for the benefit of the lungs of the people, held another of his nicely varied entertainments last evenii g in the City Hall. There was a large attendance of persons, who evidently relished the remarkable performances of this unique troupe ef performers. Professor Jacobs was as as attractive as ever in his particularly mystic line, and the other members of this talented troupe were equally successful. We notice that Airec and his companions will occupy the City Hall during the preaeritejfFeek, and that the great American gift entertainment will be repeated every evening. To-night Airec will appear in his new mid-air peiformance, entitled the "Ladder of Life." Thi3 entertainment is well worth seeing and as there are few public places of amusement open at present, Airec's endeavours to gratify public taste should meet with due patronage.
