GRAHAMSTOWN.

(From our own Correspondent.) This day. An extraordinary meeting of the Tairua Company was held to day,—Mr Jackson in the chair. Resolutions regarding the directors, and rules adopted at the last meeting, were confirmed. There was a large attendance. The business was formal. The Watchman tribute crushed 31 tons for 123 ounces melted gold. The Inverness tribute lodged 5 ozs. additional to-day. Total melted yield is 427 ozs. 2 dwts., value £1112 4s 9d., out of which the company receives £278 Is. 3d.

At the Police Court, to-day, Robert Wingate was charged with assaulting his wife. The information was withdrawn, an arrangement was made by which a weekly allowance and separation was granted to plaintiff. A trial crushing of 3 qrs 12 lbs. from the Midas Claim, Tairua, yielded at the rate of 1 oz. 14 dwts. to the ton.
