Breadstutts are unaltered ; demand limited. _ There was great excitement at the boat race on the 10th. There were twelve steamers crowded with spectators in attendance. After a long delay, there was an excellent start. After pulling a mile Laycock took the lead, but was shortly afterwards passed by Trickett, who was never caueht, and won by fully one hundred yards. The steamers in attendance behaved badly, Laycock's boat being nearly rilled at the finish, and causing!* to stop. A great deal of money changed hands. Laycock acknowledged Trickett to be the best man. The time of the race was 22 nun, 25 sec.
