Seizure of Patter Paul's Furniture.

The resistance to the Education Rate has resulted in another clergyman being made a martyr to his conscientious convictions. The Rev. Father Paul, the respected and popular Roman Catholic priest of Onehunga has, in

corijunctionwith. the clergy of that Church, consistently fresisted the obnoxious tax. To-day, a distress warrant was served upon him for non-payment, and his furniture, chairs, &c, was taken, and sent into Auckland for sale by Messrs Samuel Cochrane and Son in satisfaction of the judgment. We hope the rev. gentleman will not be permitted to suffer, but the goods will be bought in.
