NEWCASTLE.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day,
Opening of a Foresters' Court
A Court of Foresters was opened last evening by P.D.C.R. Auger, assisted by Secretary Holland, C.E. J. Syme, and S.C R. Fowler, of the City of Auckland Court. Twenty-five members were initiated. After the business of the Court had concluded, the members sat down to a splendid banquet provided for the occasion. The banquet was a great success. Several settlers are anxious to become membeis, and the Waikato Court bids fair to become one of the strongest in the Auckland district.
