GISBORNE.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day,
Steamers Put Sack.
The Go-Ahead put back yesterday after 45 hours' punching into the heavy N.E. gale off the East Cape. Had to take in more coal. The Southern Cross also put in 27 hours from Napier, having had very heavy weather. The stock is all in good order. Arrived—Gem, from Auckland. Some passengers were transferred from the Go-Ahead to the Southern Cross.
