Pigeon from the City of Melbourne
THE LAST FAREWELL.
A Star pigeon was despatched by the mail steamer City of Melbourne yesterday to bring back the last farewell greetings of departing colonists. . It returned at daybreak this morning with the following message : - _ 5 o'clock p.m. We passed Tiritiri at 4 p.m. • all wall Light head wind. , Petherbridge all there as usual. Isaacs busy with youngsters. Sir George Arney. thinking of deliverine a charge. c Lusk endeavouring to outdo Mark Taplev Tonka writing messages and very down m the mouth. All Ancklanders unite in wishing prospenty and happiness to absent friends. B. ToNKS. * J
