Painful Disclosure

A painful report is prevalent respecting Hunt, the late head-master of the Timaru school, and who was drowned in April. It appears he has another wife still living in New South Wales, who claims the esbate of the deceased for herself and son. The police at Timatu have been communicated with. The circumstances of deceased's drowning was a mystery never satisfactory explained. The evidence of the ferryman pointed to the suicide of Hunt, but though not believed at the time, it is now thought to have been probable in view of subsequent revelations.
