Sea Breeze won the Coursing Derby, and Baratta the Oaks. Everything is very dull. A vein of gold-bearing quartz was found in the Prince Patrick mine, Stawell, at a depth of 1,110 feet. Three men were charged at the Supreme Court with polluting their yards by depositing filth there. One was fined £30, and the other dismissed.
