STREET TUMBLERS.
William Mclveown alias Billy, the piper, and William Cook, a stranger, were charged with beiog drunk last night. Prisoners acknowledged that the charges were true, and were fined 10s each, or in default; 48 hours exercise at Mount Eden.
AGE AND VICE,
Mary Walton, an old woman verging ou seventy-five, was charged with drunkenness and vagrancy. According to the publio records, this unhappy woman has pursued a course of drunkenness and misery from the year 1865, and had spent five years eleven months and seven days in prison. She had also been for a considerable time in the Women's Refuge, where she affirmed that she had worked very hard. The CourS sentenced the old woman to o.ue year's imprisonment. WITHDRAWN.
The charge against the young man Thomas Bowden, who -v^as charged with misconducting himself in Qa°en-street, a few evening's a*o, was. with the consent of Mr Broham, withdrawn, and the prisoner discharged.
