AUSTRALIAN SPORTING.
At the Victoria Racing Club's Autumn Meeting the two New Zealand horses, Calumny and Lurline ran. and acquitted themselves so well, it is evident they have suddenly come back to their once brilliant form. The Brunswick Stake, a sweep of 5 soys. with 150 soys. added, was won by Calumny, Bst lib ; with Lurline, Sst 101b, second; and eight others behind. The JKeilor Stakes was won by Light Day, 3 yrs, 7st lllbs, Lurline, 5 yrs, lOst 31bs, second. A fine race won by a head, Gloom, 4 yrs, Sst lllbs, 3rd. The Austra lian Cup, a sweep of 20 soys, with 300 added, was won by Lurline, 5 yrs, Sst lib, by two lengths easily, from Wollomai, 5 yrs, 7st 7ibs, second, and Benyeroo, 6 yrs, 7st, third. Melbourne ran, and was a great favorite, but could not act in the heavy ground. Time, 4 mm. 25 seos.
