A bace meeting was held at East Tamaki Head, and was well attended, especially by residents from neighbouring districts. The •teamer Manaia took a number of excursionists from Auckland. . The sports commenced with a private match between Mr Quinlan's Gameboy and Howe's Ringtail. The race resulted in favor of the former horse.
