PORT CHALMERS.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day. London Departure. —Ships in Quarantine Sailed—May Queen, for London, with 7 passengers, and a full cargo, valued at £70,077. Excepting the one sick family, the immigrants per Garlock, at the station, were admitted to pratique yesterday and sent to the barracks The ship has also been admitted'to pratique. The immigrants per Oamaru will disembark and be sent to the quarantine station tc-day. Serious Accident. Henry Mills, boatswain of the ship Janet Coiyan, was knocked over the ship's rail into the lighter alongside, by the slinging of cargo, and seriously hurt his spine. He was sent to the hospital. The Bellicose Skipper. The Times to-day administers a crushing rebuke to 'Ross, master of the City of Dunedin, and calls on the agents and owners of the ship to take cognizance of his conduct. The ship Auckland is loaded, and sails for London on Wednesday at daylight. A race between her and tbe May Queen is anticipated.
