TERMINATION OF THE QUAEANTINE
The Board of Health, acting on the recommendation of the Health Officer and the Immigration Commissioners, have at lenath given the requisite permission for a portion of the imm.grantsbytheHydaspes.nowin quarantine at Momihi, to be released We uaderstand that the single men are to come un to town to-morrow morning. For some days toes* have been kept asunder from the mar ie-1 people and the children, and as there has been no sign of disease among them, it is concluded that there is perfect safety in terminating their present inactive state of secluv I sion. A difficulty about the matter, vhich , however, will not cause any delay, has beea created by the refusal of the -North Shore Fe-ry Company to biiog the immigrants up, undei the present charter of the Devonporbf The company at first demanded five shillings a-head, but this the Government i agreed was too " stiff'," and demurred to. Unless any farther sickness occurs among the rest oE'tha immigrjjit) the married folks, single girls, aud chiidrea will come up before the end of the week
