Mr Lloyd, Colonial Treasurer of New South Wales has made his financial statement. He said that when he made his last financial statement he estimated there would be a surplus at the end of 1573 of L 655,280 13s 9d. The actual surplus was L 720.089 Is sd, with which amount on the credit side he opened the account for 1874. The revenue actually collected from the Ist January to the 30th September, 1874, was L 2,376,322; and he estimated that the revenue for the remainder of the year would be L 1,051,155. There was also a sum of L 22.760 18s 8d available towards the redemption of deficiency Treasury bills, which brought the revenue for 1874 up to L 4,200,827 0a Id. The charges on the revenue for 1874 amounted to L 3,573,188 3s 6dj—less L 160,000 for appropriations
