RETURN OF THE GOLDEN CROWN.
General astociskment was t?xpe:ienced last night by the appearance of th«e p. s. Golden Crown steamiug up the harbour. It was known that she was to leave Hussell early this week for Melbourne, and -when she came into her old berth last night various were the opinions hazarded as to the cause which induced Captain Lapthorne to bring her back. Prom what we can learn ske Jeffc the Bay early y<isterday morning, antl in rounding the Heads encountered a ver> heavy sea. Shortly afterwards tbe captaini found she was making a little water and determined to shape his course back to Auckland. The Crown will leave again on Saturday. Gapt. Zealand will take command.
