At the District Court to-day, before his Honor Judge Beckham an application was for a new trial in the case of Rogers r. Grant and Morton, and refuser! with costs. Judgment for plaintiff was given in Home v. Crippin—claim, £29 16s. ; and an action, with a special jury, Anderson v. Kelly, was proceeding as our reporter left. The word "nice" appeared in place of the word "wise" in "Fair Play's" letter on Saturday. The error very nearly made the sentence read as if written in irony which was far from being intended.
