H.M. Blanche arrived from the North with His Excellency the Governor to-day. The brigantine Kate Brain arrived at Port Chalmers from the Bluff on the 12th instant. She is somewhat strained from the rough usage she met with on the rocks at Mokomoko,.bnt otherwise she is a good deal less injured than she was reported to be. She was to be docked for repairs soon after the Lady Bird left. The Kate Brain is a fine useful vessel, and it is very gratifying to learn that her first voyage has not proved so disastrous as the telegrams gave us to understand. _ O
