Walker andCo. . The s.s. Mongol took her departure for Kandavu ■with the outward English mail this afternoon at four o'clock. She takes the following passengers : —Mrs Yon Tempsky, Miss Ida ,Yon Tempsky, Mrs and Miss McAusland, John Haigh Stralford, George Owen, Sir William and Lady Martin, Agnes Brown, T. H. Memhertzhagen, 11. S. Tiffen, Mrs Tiffen, James Bennett, Kichard Andove, Ben?amin Casjiimore, Charles Sanders, Mrs Charles Leys and infant, Messrs Ranken and Wontner. The cutter Mercury brings 22,000 feet timber from Mercury Bay. The barque Don Ricardo sailed to-day for Newcastle in ballast. A brig has been signalled during the day. The agents of the s.s. Hero have received a telegram per s.s. Otago at the Bluff stating that the Hero sails from Melbourne for Auckland via Sydney on the 11th April. She was after discharging her cargo of coals to load again for this port. The schooner Marion Renny, Captain Hughes, sailed for Levuka yesterday with a cargo of timber and sundries, as per exports. She takes as passengers Messrs Wallace, Wilson, and J. Jason. The s.s. Murray took her depart are for Tauranga on Saturday evening with cargo and several passengers. The p.s. Luna left Tauranga on Saturday evening for the South. The s.s. Mongol, Captain Mamank, arrived in harbour from the South at half-past live yesterday evening. We are indebted to H. J. Ellis, the purser, for the following report of passag - and for delivery of files, &c. The Mongol left Dune&in on the 7th at 5 p.m.,-after remaining there only 3 hours 45 minutes ; arrived at Lyttelton next day at 10 a.m. and left again at 1 p.m. ; arrived at Wellington at 10.30 a.m. on the 9th, took in coal and sailed again at 11.30 a.m. on. the 10th. Proceeded under easy speed, arriving at Napier at 8 a.m. on the 11th ; sailed at 9 o'clock the same morning, and arrived in harbour at 5.30 pm. on Sunday. Pine weather prevailed from Dunedin to Napier. Thence thick weather and beam sea. Passed White Island at 6 a.m. Sunday, and Pretty Jane at noon, 10 miles South Cape Colville.
