COROMANDEL

This day,

There is great indignation felt by the public at the leading article in the News today. ; , A large public meeting is to be held at four p.m. to present an address and purse to Dr Hovell.

Over 200 names are appended to the requisition to Dr Hovel, and £25 haye been collected and a good deal more promised. Mr Luks is chairman of the meetings and Mr Dockerill presents the requisition, and Mr Harrison the purse.
