This day. An-ived : Freetrader from Hobarton. The Paterson had to put into Akaroa on account of a heavy gale. The immigrants pev Punjaub are progressing. The ship will be released on Monday. William Beverley, landlord of the Saxton hotel, died suddenly last night. The ship Celestial Queen, Captain Watt, from London, 09 days out, with immigrants,' arrived this morning ■ also the John Knox from Sydney. The Celestial Queen has now anchored. The Immigration Commissioner is just going off. The health of the Punjaub immigrants is improving. The Zior has cleared for Auckland with 11.00 sacks potatoes. Several other vessels are loading. The s s. Wellington arrived at noon. She starts for Port Chalmers at two. She passed the Celestial Queen coming up harbor. She is full of immigrants, all hearty and fat as porpoises, and there is no sickness on board. She took the pilot on board as we passed. The weather is beautiful. ■
