The s.s. Hero cleared at the Customs this afternoon for Sydney and Melbourne with the following passengers : —For Melbourne : Saloon : His Excellency Sir George F. Bowen, K.C.G.8., Lady Bowen and five children, four servants, Major Pitt and four men servants ; Messrs Keats, Menzies, Liechmar, J. Fryer. Steerage : Mrs Smith, Mrs Southcote and four boys, Van Kee. For Sydney : Saloon : Mr and Mrs Hay, Mrs D. Levy, Miss R. Levy, Mr and Mrs Pain and family (3), Mrs Lewis Moses ; Messrs Frazer, Abraham, M. Taylor, Crook, C. Deeley. Steerage : Mrs McKay, Mrs J. L. Dale, W. Mortlock, wife and child, T. Sweeney, W. Crawford, M. O'Neill, C. Woolgar, T. Hayne, J. Reilly, G. Renner. Messrs Oruickshank and Co., the agents of the s.s. Hero, notify that their office will close to-morrow at noon.
The ship Harvest Home, Capt. Hill, cleared at the Customs this morning for London with a full cargo and the following passengers :— Mr J. Glenny, Miss Elphinstone, Mrs Kirkwood and three daughters, Mr and Mrs C. Morgan and three children, Mr and Mrs P. Simpson and son, Mr and Mrs T. Parkin and son, Mr and Mrs Shanks and two children. Total 21. This fine ship will leave to-morrow.
The French transport Bruat left yesterday for Tahiti.
The s.s Phcebe left the Manakau yesterday for Sydney with eighty passengers. The barque Natal Queen has entered outwards for Newcastle.
The sailing of the s.s. Paterson is unavoidably postponded until to-morrow (Tuesday) at four p.m. The brig Albion from Newcastle arrived in harbor this afternoon with a cargo of coals She took her departure from Newcastle on the 24th February.
The barque Briton arrived this afternoon from Newcastle with a cargo of coals. She left Newcastle on the 21st ultimo.
The schooner Agnes Jessie has completed her discharge. Her cargo was turned out in first-class condition.
The p.s. Dakota left Napier for this port at half-past eight this morning. The schooner Strathnavar brings 83 tons of coal from Russell.
