This Lilliputian animal was one of the greatest pets of her Majesty the Empress of Brazil, and carried in her bosom on all public occasions. During one of the performances of C'hiarini's Eoyal Italian Circus at Bahia, Brazil, under the patronage of the Emperor and Empress, her Majesty the Empress became so enraptured with one of the acrobats that she sent her page with this favourite pet as a present to him, being considered in that country the highest compliment she could pay. This animal is now in possession of the proprietor of the Occidental, and will only be exhibited about one week.
