Ste,— The death of James Stanley by drownfng at Kaipara was announced in your paper last week ; but it was not stated that ne leaves in this city a wife and five children, nearly totally unprovided for. An opportunity w thus presented to the people of Auckland to show their sympathy towards the bereaved widow and family.
