PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
The performance last night consisted of the fine comedy of " The Heir-at-Law " and " Naval Engagements." The engagement of Mr W. Hoskins aDd Miss Florence Colville is drawing to a close, as they will only appear on two more occasions, in consequence of an engagement at Dunedin. This evening a farewell benefit will be given to that prince of comedians, Mr W. Hoskins, and we hope to see a full house as a proof of the estimation in which he is held by the public. On this occasion an attractive programme is announced. The performance will commence with Mrs Centlivre's splendid comedy of the . " Busy Body," in which Mr Hoskins' impersonation of Marplot is a grand conception. Miss Colville, es Miranda, by her charming acting, is no less attractive. The cast is a good one. After the comedy Signor Vragnizan will sing, for the first time before an Auckland public, the celebrated "II Balen," from the opera of 11 Trovatore. The performance will conclude with the highly-amusing farce of " A Fast Train; High Pressure." Those who bave seen Mr Hoskins in this pronounce it a treat ; those who havo not should not lose the opportunity of enjoying themselves.
