Tlie Norwich Union Life Society has no distinct body of proprietors ; the insurers at large are the recipients of the savings of tho institution : the premiums paid, being in faict only deposits, revert to those who contribute them. SETTLEMENT POLICIES. To meet one of the greatest wants of the day the Norwich Union issues Policies in tlie nature of settlement, whereby a man in solvent circumstances, provided the matter is bond fide, may secure, without the risk or bankruptcy', a certain and direct provision for h_3 family. RESOURCES. ; Irrespective'of the immense annual revenue of this Society, gradually and surely on the increase, it possesses a Reserve Fund of £2,300,000 and upwards, .available for its requirements.
