It is not raysignature, nor have I ever had any transactions with the-prisoner.—The prisoner wai committee!i for.triaL—The same prisoner was further charged with having uttered a promissory note for £25 with a fo-ged endorsement. —William Thorne, solicitor, deposed that prisoner had settled for obtained against him by Mr. Lerittot for £17 by the protriissery note, being the signature of Andrew Rooney, and that he (Mr: Thorne) Had given a cheque for £5 in exchange. Rooney, a farmer at Epsom, deposed that the signature was' a forgery.^Tames Van Maratoa, a solicitor, doing business for Mr. Kooney, deposed to the signature being unlike Rodney's.—The prisoner was* 1 committed for trial on this charge also. On all previous charges the prisoner, was committed,, for trial.
