ARRIVAL OF THE CITY OF MEL BOURNE.
The O.N.Z. and A.M. Line s.s. City of Melbourne, H. Grainger, commander, left Sydney on the Ist instant, at 7 a.m.; had strong south-west winds with high sea on leaving, which she carried until the morning of the 2nd, when it became more moderate ; from thence fresh southerly winds until the 4th, and then light variable weather to the Three Kings, which she passed at 4 p.m. on the 6th ; at 6.30 passed the North Cape, and arrived at the wharf at Auckland at 2.30 to-day. She brings a large mail for Europe. Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Hall and Captain Trouion, Manager of the A.S.N. Company, are passengers by her.
