EVENING STAR OFFICE, Tuesday Afternoon. Messrs. S. Cochrane and Son sold by auction at their mart, to-day : Walnut pianoforte, for £25 ; a double-barrelled gun brought £18 10s. At the sale of new English furniture there was a large attendance, and prices obtained were satisfactory. Messrs. Lewis Brothers held a sale of sugar this morning. The following prices were obtained :87 gunnies J. C. sugar, 3|d ; 196 mats yellow crystals, 2|d; 78 mats light counter, 4_d.
