THE MARINER'S REEF.
Yesterday a very fine lot of specimens were brought to grass from the Mariner's . Reef low level. During the day about 501b. weight were taken out, and there are now about 1201b. of rich stone on hand for crushing. This mine occupies one battery and one of the patent concentrators at the Waiotahi mill, where the stone is showing up well for a profitable return. This mine is rapidly assaming a leading position, and the fine reef that has been opened in it proves itself richer and richer as it is followed downwards. The present lot of specimens were taken out at water level.
