Mr and Mrs Ken Ingley (Mastr ton) who have been holidaying with Mr and Mrs Colin Mason returned to Christchurch yesterday.

Miss Stephanie Armstrong is spending a holiday with her parents, Mi and Mrs F. G. Armstrong, Mt. Vernon, Akaroa.

Rev. Father O-'Reengan visited Akaroa recently where he was the guest of Father O'Meeghan. While in Akaroa Father O'Reegan visited many old friends.

Miss O'Meeghan (Ranfurly) has been visiting her brother, Rev. Father O'Meeghan at the Catholic Presbytery, Akaroa.

Mrs H. Noonan (Wainui) who underwent an operation in Christchurch about a fortnight ago is making good progress towards recovery.

Mr and Mrs A. Dukeson (Akaroa) returned home on Saturday evening after a holiday of three weeks spent at Hunterville.

Eighteen members of Peninsula Womens' Institutes travelled up to Darfield on Thursday for the halfyearly meeting. They were Mesdames 0. A. Thelnmg and L. Bailey (Le Bons), Mesdames H. L. Cairns, F. Le Vaillant, Misses M. Stewart and M. Haylock (Duvauchelle), Mesdames J. W. A. Boleyn, J. Mason, Waghorn and E. Haines (Okains Bay), Mesdames 0. Hunt, G. A. Hammond, C. Petterson, Misses E. Le Lievre, P. Kearney, 8., M. and E. Jacobson.

Mr Harry Hay ward (Robinsons Bay) who injured his knee in a car accident at Hari Hari, West Coast, about two months ago has since been undergoing treatment in Christchurch. The injury is responding favourably to the treatment. Misses Jessie Vogan and Mavis Hayward, received injuries and shock and have now quite recovered. Mr Jack Hayward was also in the car, but was not injured.

The following were the guests of Mi' and Mrs Reg Mason for Labour week-end: Mr and Mrs Ray Peters and Dorothy Peters, Mr Rodney Cooper (New Brighton), Mr and Mrs H. Partington and Miss Joan Mason, Mr and Mrs Gv;o. Flannagan and children, Mr and Mrs F. Regan, all of Christchurch. Miss Joan Mason, Miss Edna Whitelay and Mr Rodney Cooper who have been holidaying with Mr and Mrs Mason returned to town yesterday.
