Committee Meeting A meeting of the committee was held yesterday afternoon when there were present Miss M. Jacobson, president (in chair), Mesdames W. A. Newton, H. Woodill, E. Glynan, G. A. Hammond, Misses E. Opie and E. Jacobson. Apologies were received from Mesdames C. Petterson, E. Wood

ill, J. E. Armstrong, Misses E. Le Lievre, N. Curry and P. Kearney. Moiion of Sympathy A motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs S. D. Curry and family in their sad loss and also with Mrs W. H. Taylor in the death of her father. Gift of Waistcoat Mrs Wood, secretary of the Womens section of the Centennial Exhibition wrote thanking the Institute for the mens' waistcoat kindly lent by Mrs J. Brown.

Messrs Whiteombe and Tombs forwarded order forms for the V.A.D. Nursing Handbook.

The 'Peninsula Horse Show and Pastoral Association forwarded a schedule containing the Handcraft scction.

Arrangements were made for the garden party to be held at the Oinako Grounds on November 3.
