PLUNKET SOCIETY CONFERENCE

GARDEN PARTY AT BARRYS BIY The various branches on Banks Peninsula of the Plunket Society met : Inst week at Duvauchelle in conference and a luncheon party was held at the Akaroa County Council chambers. Those present were Mesdames | Cracroft Wilson, Cecil Wood, and -j Chilton (Christchurch), Mrs Gilmore r (Lyttelton), Mrs H. J. Mould (Little River), Mesdames T. Masefield, G. N. Kenning, W. H. Taylor, R Bruce, F. Williamson, C. C. Narbey ard W. R. Bartle (Akaroa), Mesdames C. E. Kay and I. J. Hunter (Little Akaloa), Mesdames P. Cunningham, R. Mcßobie, A. J. Cunningham, J, R. Haines, W., O'Brien and T. R. Mould (Duvauchelle.) The Duvauchelle branch members entertained the visitors from the other ' branches at Luncheon, Mrs C. E. Kay 1 acting as hostess. J After a discussion on plunket society affairs a garden party was held at Barry's Bay at Mrs R. Stewart's home. There was a large attendance present. The sum of £13 10s was raised. The box of chocolates presented by Mrs ~ Wills (Duvauchelle) was wen by Mar- * * garet Haines and the pig presented- '' by Mi- A. J. Cunningham by Barry Fleming.
