Dawn (A. Smith) 7mins, withdrew after the end of the first round with a broken stay. The Zephyr withdrew from the race after the first round with a broken centreboard. And the Sea Pup did not finish. The race created a great deal of interest with the public, and all of the boats were well handled in a very fresh breeze. The race for next Sunday will be sailed for a trophy kindly presented by Mr Anonymous jnr., and handicaps will appear in Friday's paper. A prize of 100 cigarettes will be given for the neatest and best kept boat. Everything to be" in best yachting' order. (Anonymous donor).
