Miss Mary Henning (Akaroa), I who has been visiting her sister, ;• Miss Lucy Henning, Darfield, is now the guest of her aunt, Mrs ■ Le Clerc Latter, "Cloudy Range," ■ Kai'koura. Miss Noel Henning leaves • Akaroa to-day on a three weeks' holiday which will be spent in Ashburton and' Dunedin. While in, Ashburton she will be the: guest of Mrs A. Denham. She leaves later for Dunedin accompanied by Miss Jud-d of Darfield, Sister Francis, Matron of the Little. River Hospital has left to take up a post-graduate course at the Wellington Hospital which will entail an absence of six months. Sister Savage who has been doing relieving work at Rotherham after a trip to England has been appointed .Matron during Sister Francis' absence. Mr C. R Kay, chairman of the Banks Peninsula Electric Power Board, Little Akaloa, has been on a visit to Stewart Island where I he visited many places of interest including Mason's Bay. Mr Kay was much Impressed by the beautiful scenery and native busli and birds. He was accompanied' by Mrs 1 Kay and Mr I David Stavert, Hamncr Springs.
