Prizes for Collections. In order to create a love fo our New Zealand forest arnongs the boys and girls of our prim ar; schools, the. 'New Zealand Fores try League is again offering prizes for the bsst collection o: native trees and shrubs. Then are two classes one for boys an ; c girls between 12 and' 16 years l o; age and another for boys anc girls under 12 years of age. Ir the higiier grade the prizes ar( first £1 10s; second £1; third 10s and in the lower grade first £1 second: 10s; third ss. The collec tion and mounting must be the unaided work of the compelito] though' help may be obtained ir finding out the names' of the speciments, which are to be given (where possible) the Maor: English and Botanical names Speciments must be collectec since July, 1935. The closing date is 'Saturday, June 20th, 193( and entries are to be. sent to the secretary of the League, care oi Dominion Farmers' Institute Wellington. Competitors musl put a name or a distinguishing mark on the. back of each spec! men which are to be mounted or stiff paper. There is no entrance fee.
