A SUCCESSFUL AND INITEiRESTINiG DAY The Field Day as arranged' by the Banks. Peninsula ©ranch of the Farmers' Unioni at 'Duvauchellie on Tuesday was well! attended by farmers! and theilr wilves ; 'there being an attendance of about one hundred andl fifty people. It wan unfortunate that; a more compllete, programme fcir Lacliies had) not been arranged, although thei generalf .opinion was that the dlay wasi most' enjoyable'. Throughout -the aifterrjoo.il IMr Leslie, of iLinicolto College', addressed the women -on poultry keeping and im«pressed on those present that this 1 was a phase of farming that required proper handling amd! could not be ■made ia sue,cess unless 'well managed in respect to breeding, feeding andi housing. iMns E.
