(Chapman l cut-Hue el the slate of the finances of the (Council sho'wing that 'the ov.e'rd'raft at present was <a 'l'i'tf e 1 wen £'2000' with about £160 ©f rates oulslanding'. IMr 'Dudley Ri'ehards spoke on the finances' of the County pointing out that t'he rates levied' a't present were not sufficient to meet the outgoings. He stated that there must be a day

(X Cctoip, chairman of the county council'. explained! that the rate had .'been kept lo'w through the financial di'fficiultles caused' by the depression. He considered' that there was no need to worry about the finances. H'eiwever, he was leaving for China for a three months holljd'ay in July and he wiould 'like some expression of opinion from the ratepayers as to what they considered should l be. done. IMr 9. S.
