Conditions on the Akaroa Golf ■ Course were very unpleasant on Sunday afternoon when a violent hail , storm swept the course. One match was nearing its conclusion when the storm iburst and the players finished : with hail storms slashing their faces and after strenuous hunts after the golf balls in amongst layers of hail. Another match was in. its early stages and the players carried on till snow began to fall.
